What Are Medigap Plans? Medicare information provided by Adler Insurance in Prescott

Adler insurance in Prescott explains some information about Medigap policies
Medicare provides a whole lot of coverage, but it doesn't cover everything. Medigap is extra health insurance that you buy from a private party to cover co-payments, deductibles, and health care when traveling outside the United States, however you will pay a monthly premium for a Medigap policy. Adler Insurance brings you this information on the basics of Prescott Medigap policies.

Am I eligible for Medigap?

Medigap policies are only available to people who have Medicare Part A and Medicare Part B, although people who have a Medicare Advantage plan cannot get a Medigap plan. Medigap policies won't cover long-term care, dental care, vision care, hearing aids, eyeglasses, and private-duty nursing. And most plans do not cover prescription drugs.

If you are going to buy a Medigap plan, the open enrollment period is six months from the first day of the month of your 65th birthday. If you and your spouse want Medigap coverage, you'll need to buy separate policies; spouses aren't covered together.

What is the cost?

Premiums vary among insurance companies, but the benefits of each standard Medigap plan are always the same. There are many different Medigap policies to choose from, however there is no difference in plans offered by different insurers; plan details are all set by the government.

The cost of your Medigap policy depends on the type of plan you buy, the insurance company, your location, and your age. A standardized Medigap policy is guaranteed renewable, even if you have health problems, if you pay your premiums on time.

Why do you need life insurance? Adler Insurance in Prescott reminds you of its importance!

Adler Insurance discusses the importance of life insurance in Prescott
Life insurance is never a “fun” conversation, but to protect your family, dependents, business, or legacy, you must eventually sit down and have a conversation with a life insurance expert.

Insurance can be confusing and it’s hard to know what you really need or want. Adler Insurance in Prescott brings you these reasons why life insurance is needed.

You never know what can happen: Dying suddenly in an accident, unexpected illness, or natural causes can happen at any time. Life insurance helps your loved ones pay the mortgage, bills, even college costs, after you’re gone.

Funerals are expensive: In some cases $7,000 to $10,000 for funeral services. This is the average cost of a burial ceremony that will be faced by your loved ones.

Protect those you love: You work hard to make sure those you love are taken care of. It’s just as important to consider providing financial support for the future living costs of surviving dependents.
Death shouldn’t mean debt: Life Insurance can help your dependents cover any financial responsibilities that are left after your death.

Anything can happen: If you develop a serious illness, you may not be able to get life insurance to the extent you need it. If you have a terminal illness, life insurance can provide you with financial support.

Take care of business: Life Insurance isn’t just for individuals. It can protect a business from financial loss, liabilities or instability in the case of the death of a business owner/partner.

Supplement your retirement: You can use life insurance to make sure your retirement savings lasts as long as you do. You put an amount of money into a life insurance product and in return you get a guaranteed stream of income month after month, for as long as you live.

It makes financial sense: Life insurance is considered a financial asset, which can help increase your credit and help you to get a loan or health insurance.

Give to charity: Life Insurance can enable you to leaving a lasting gift to a favorite cause or charity that is much larger than you would otherwise set aside for donation.

Peace of mind, plain and simple: No amount of money can ever replace a person. But more than anything, life insurance can help provide protection for the uncertainties in life.

Adler Insurance answers the question of what is Medicare and why is it so important?

Adler Insurance answers questions on healthcare coverage for Medicare in PrescottWhen retiring you need your health care expenses to be predictable. Medicare plays a crucial role in providing some of that security. Unfortunately, Medicare is complicated, there are many parts that need to be looked at. Adler Insurance provides advice and help cutting through your choices for Medicare in Prescott.

The quick points to know about Medicare:

  • You have two basic choices. Medicare Advantage Plan or a fee-for-service plan.
  • There are 4 different parts. Parts are listed as A, B, C, D. These cover hospitalization, outpatient service, and prescription drugs.
  • Additional policies can be added such as Medigap. This type of policy limits the amount of out of pocket costs with your plan.
  • If you are retiring rich or well off, you may pay more for coverage. Be sure to discuss this with your retirement planner.
  • You have a limited time to sign up. If you are turning 65 now is the time to select a plan.
  • There is an annual enrollment. Take the time each year to review your coverage to get the best rates.
  • Don’t confuse Medicare with the Affordable Care Act (ACA). The ACA has helped many seniors get healthcare that couldn’t otherwise, however if you are nearing the age of 65 it is time to address your Medicare benefits.
  • Long term care is not covered completely. There is a short amount of time that Medicare will cover care in a skilled nursing facility, however there are stipulations on this.

Why is Medicare so important?

Because medical expenses have become very expensive, especially for those who are over the age of 65, some people wonder why to even have it at all. Medicare is important because the older population would find it too difficult to take care of their medical expenses without it. We all pay into different programs with taxes while we are young and working, to take advantage of these programs when the time comes to retire.

For more information on Medicare, its different Parts, and Medigap policies, contact Adler Insurance. We will help you with all your Prescott Medicare needs. Call us today at 928-710-1455 or visit us at http://www.adlerlifehealth.com.

Adler Insurance helps seniors with the transition to Medicare in Prescott

Adler Insurance discusses the ideal time to sign up for Medicare in Prescott.
If you have a health plan through the Health Insurance Marketplace and will soon have Medicare eligibility, it’s not too soon to start planning for your coverage to switch.  Adler Insurance provides tips to help make the transition easier for Medicare in Prescott.

Once Medicare eligibility begins, you’ll have a 7 month Initial Enrollment Period to sign up. For most people, this is 3 months before, the month of, and 3 months after their 65th birthday.

It’s important to sign up for Medicare when you’re first eligible because once your Medicare Part A coverage starts, you’ll have to pay full price for a Marketplace plan. It’s important to coordinate the date your Marketplace coverage ends with the effective date of your Medicare enrollment, to make sure you don’t have a break in coverage. If you have limited income or resources, you may qualify for help paying costs.

If you’re the only person on your Marketplace application, you can cancel the whole application.

If you and your spouse (or other household members) are enrolled on the same Marketplace plan, but you’re the only one eligible for Medicare, you’ll cancel Marketplace coverage for just yourself. This way any others on the Marketplace application can keep Marketplace coverage. Find out how here.

For more information on signing up for Medicare contact Adler Insurance at contact us at 928-710-1455 or by visiting us at http://www.adlerlifehealth.com
