Homeowner’s/Renter’s Insurance – If you purchased a home, you probably obtained homeowner’s insurance as part of the mortgage process. Update Auto Insurance – In order to be able to register your vehicle in Arizona you will need to obtain insurance that meets Arizona minimum requirements.

New License Plates – You’ll need to transfer your vehicle registration to Arizona immediately upon your arrival. Make sure you have your current out-of-state title. Registration and lien information (if applicable) PLUS update Arizona car insurance.

Medicare – If you are over 65, you will also need to update your Medicare coverage. Many people don’t realize that Medicare Advantage and Supplemental plans vary from state to state and even county to county. If you are new in Yavapai County, you only have 60 days to apply for a new plan that provides coverage in Yavapai County, Arizona, as your old plan will no longer be valid.
